PostHeaderIcon Last update before camp

Okay, okay – no more phonecalls about ferries or shuttles! Emails would have been the preferred method but thank you all for contacting me on my phone – I have promptly gone and forgotten everything. :p

I’ve packed up what seems to be the entire contents of my home for this camp and we’re heading out this morning to start pickups, packups and preparations onsite for the main event.

Don’t call us unless it’s an emergency; we will have enough shuttle rides, just bring your 8 quarters.

See you at camp! :)

PostHeaderIcon Calling all Guiding Senior Branches groups!

If you’re part of a Senior Branches group, there is a group of 4 girls from Nanaimo (in a SB group) whose advisor is unable to attend the camp but the girls would really like to take part as it would be their first MG ever.

Any group willing to “twin” with them and take them on for the weekend? They will have their own tent and food but would require use of campsite necessities (stove / pots / pans / etc).

Should your group be willing please contact me ASAP (email address is on the Contacts page) so I can put you in touch with their advisor. Give these girls the chance to fulfill their dreams of Mario glory! :)

PostHeaderIcon Take note!

This year we’re doing things slightly differently when you arrive at camp.

As your vehicle arrives onsite, we ask you to stop at HQ (as usual), but here’s what’s new… we’ll be putting a card with your name and group name on your dash (makes for easier identification of vehicles later) and we’ll also be requesting that you hand us your group’s registration form so we can speed up the whole registration process. It will also help us if you can write out a list of the names (first AND last) of all who will be at camp on the back of your registration form (including advisors).

Those who don’t hand us their forms on arrival will be asked to wait until all other groups have been processed on Saturday morning for registration. Thanks!

PostHeaderIcon Want to see the badge?

I bet you would! There’s only 12 days left, so check back every day for a better preview of the badge. Don’t worry, you won’t get to see the actual badge until camp, but we like to tease, so here it is:
