Only 16 days to go until the kickoff camp of the 2006/2007 Scouting year! Ooooh we are SO excited!

The badges arrived the other day and they look FANTASTIC. We’ve pretty much got everything ready to go so we’re counting down the days and hours.

We had 6 registrations come in before the deadline for a total of 50 pre-registered!

The groups who will get free shuttle-rides are:

• 11th East Whalley Venturers
• 1st Bench Venturers
• 1st Comox
• 1st Haney
• 1st South Vancouver
• Orion Rangers

I will be emailing the above groups to get a list of names for the shuttle VIP list. The only group we don’t have an email address for is the East Whalley company. Could you please contact us with a list of those who will be on the shuttle? Thanks.

All these groups were also entered to win one of three free registration for up to 5 members ($100 value each). The draw was set to take place on September 9th, but we didn’t have access to the curch office until yesterday so we did the drawing at our Rover meeting.

Each pre-registration was worth 1 entry into the contest per person; register 7 people, get 7 entries. With only 50 entries total, the odds of winning one of the 3 awards was pretty good per group.

Pulled out of the hat in random form were:

• 1st Haney
• 1st South Vancouver
• 1st Comox

Now that’s a first! <ba doom cha>

Awards for our winners will be handed out at the opening ceremony, Saturday morning. A big thanks to those who pre-registered!
