The Weather / Email RSVPs are CLOSED
I’m packing up the computer, please DO NOT send us any more emails — we won’t receive them! We’ll still make sure you get to camp, you’ll just have to get in line.
The weather forecast doesn’t look awesome (as it has in past years) but we still have fun anyhow. Bring your Goretex, umbrellas, rubber boots, warm clothes… and positive attitude! I’m looking forward to all the fun no matter the weather.
See you at camp!
Shuttle Update!
Okay, we’ve discussed it and we will be meeting the last ferry.
To summarize, the shuttle will meet the following ferries:
3:30pm
5:30pm
7:25pm
9:15pm
We ARE NOT meeting any ferries prior to the 3:30 sailing, if you’re coming over earlier than that and need transportation, please consider taking transit.
YOU MUST EMAIL US TO RSVP FOR THE SHUTTLE OR YOU WILL BE THE LAST TO BE LOADED ON THE BUS!
Any questions, please email us no later than Wednesday night – after that we’ll be at camp and unable to receive your messages.
It Came From … what?
Wondering just what this It Came From camp theme is? Not sure how to decorate your site or what to wear for costumes?
This theme is a throwback to horror and sci-fi movies from the 1920’s through the 1960’s. Not too sure what these classics are all about? Bone up on your retro cult classics by visiting this classic movie poster website – it has a fantastic list with some amazing posters. Want to find out which movies were tops? A little Googling should turn up some decent top-10 lists.
Get your cult on!
Shuttle Reminder
For all those who are planning on taking the shuttle for Mardi Gras (this is all of you walk-on ferry passengers), this is a reminder that not only will the shuttle cost you $2, but we require a reservation.
In order to make sure we’ll have sufficient transportation for the numbers arriving at Langdale, we would request that if you have not pre-registered and included the number of people requiring a shuttle ride plus the ferry you will be taking, that you email us with your details.
If you are planning on coming over to camp earlier than the first shuttle (3:30pm), you’ll have to make your own way or take BC Transit (at a cost of around $2.50 per person and the driver can drop you right at the Byng front entrance). We are not providing shuttles before the 3:30 sailing (see the ferry schedule here).
If you have any questions, please contact us by email – see the contacts page for our email address.
