Health & Permission Forms

We require that ALL members attending Mardi Gras have the current Scouts Canada Physical Fitness Certificate or Girl Guides of Canada Health Form filled in, and with kept with the Advisor / Leader of the group. It is also mandatory that ALL participants under 18 have the Parent/Guardian Consent Form filled in (to be kept by your Advisor / Leader). Without these, you will not be allowed at camp.

AMS / iMIS Details

Scouts Canada requires that all members attending camp provide proof of registration in the form of your AMS number. To obtain the AMS numbers for your members, please contact your group registrar or login to the Scouts.ca website (accessible by leaders and advisors only). We’re not sexist, we require the same documentation for the ladies – Guides Canada has an AMS equivalent known as the iMIS. Please bring your info with you. Again, if you need info on getting this, contact your registrar.

When to register?

You can register at any time – early-bird registrations are any received by September 1st, 2011. You can mail us your forms up ’till September 16th – after that, please bring your registration to camp as we may not receive it in time and as such may require you to pay again at camp and your original cheque will be returned to you.

FREE stuff for early-bird registration?

Since it’s been so successful, we’re doing it once again! Free shuttle rides for anyone who registers before September 1st, as well as the chance to win free registration for your group!

Free shuttle rides
All early-bird entries will receive free shuttle bus rides! Your group name and number of free seats will be held with our staff at the ferry terminal. If your group has more members needing a shuttle ride than had pre-registered, the shuttle fee of $2 will apply to the individuals who were not pre-registered.

Who’s eligible?
Every individual who registers! If your group registers 10 people, you get 10 entries into the draw. All registrations postmarked no later than August 31st, 2011, and received before the draw date of September 12th, 2011 are eligible.

How many winners are there?
3 (three) winners will be selected from all eligible entries.

What do we win?
Each name drawn will win free registration for up to 5 (five) people from their group, worth a maximum value of $100.00 per winner.

Each registration must have payment for all members on mail-in in order to be eligible. Registration forms without payment will not be considered for the contest, nor will they receive free shuttle rides.

A cash prize equivalent to the number of qualifying free registrations will be awarded for each winner at the camp during the Opening Ceremony on Saturday morning. We award you cash because your registration cheque will already have been deposited prior to camp.

But what if my group has more or less than 5 people?
Congratulations on having an active group but we’ve decided to only offer 3 (three) prizes of 5 (five) free registrations (a total of 15 registrations worth $300.00). If your group has fewer than 5 people, the prize value will be the number of members in your group x $20.00, eg, a group of 3 would win a prize of $60.00. As there is no cash value, winners will not receive a cash prize over and above the total number of registrants; ie, if a group of 3 (three) registers and wins free registration, there will not be a cash prize of $40.00 issued for the remaining 2 free registrations. Free registrations are non-transferable, sorry.

When is the draw?
The draw will take place September 12th, winners will be announced on the website, via email and at camp.
